State loan

The credit line agreement between the European Investment Bank (EIB) and UniCredit Bank S.A. was signed on 27 July 2018 and has a total value of EUR 40 million (approx. USD 46.6 million).

The EIB financing will, through UniCredit Bank S.A., support investments carried out by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-caps in Romania.

In this context, the EIB stated that credit is: "aiming to contribute to the improvement of access to finance and competitiveness for these enterprises"

A state act in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the investment support granted here is discriminatory.
