Import tariff

On 17 July 2009, the Federal Administration for Public Revenue of Argentina (i.e. AFIP by its Spanish acronym) adopted External Notice 66/2009 establishing reference prices on imports of certain brakes and shock absorbers classified under tariffs subheadings NCM 8708.30.19 and 8708.80.00. The new reference prices were set at a FOB value of USD 6.00 and USD 9.00 per kilogramme respectively.

Previously to this notice, no reference prices applied to these tariffs subheadings.

The new legislation affected the following jurisdictions: the Republic of Korea, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Chinese Taipei, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Netherlands, Italy, Japan and Portugal.

This measure applied to imports taking place as of 18 July 2009.
