The Argentine Government established criterion values on certain products of glass fibre originating in certain Asian, European, African and North American markets.

On 6 February 2009, the Federal Administration for Public Revenue of Argentina (i.e. AFIP by its Spanish acronym) adopted External Notice 6/2009 establishing reference prices on imports of certain glass fibres classified under tariffs subheading NCM 7019.59.00.
The new reference price was set at a FOB value of USD 3.00 and USD 4.00 per kilogramme depending on the characteristics of the fibre. Previously to this notice, no reference prices applied to this tariffs subheading.
The new legislation affected the following jurisdictions: the Republic of Korea, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, China, Chinese Taipei, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Canada, United States of America, Mexico, South Africa, Finland, Hungary, Norway, Poland, United Kingdom, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, Czech Republic and Russia.
This measure applied to imports taking place as of 7 February 2009.
On 25 January 2019, the Federal Administration for Public Revenue of Argentina adopted General Resolution 4404/2019 eliminating the import criterion values set on tariffs subheading 7019.59.00 (please, see related state acts).
