Import tariff

On 4 February 2009, the Federal Administration for Public Revenue of Argentina (i.e. AFIP by its Spanish acronym) adopted External Notice 4/2009 establishing reference prices on imports of drive axles classified under tariffs subheading NCM 8708.50.99. 

The new reference price was set at a FOB value ranging between USD 3.00 and USD 4.50 per kilogramme. Previously to this notice, no reference prices applied to this tariffs subheading.

The new legislation affected the following jurisdictions: the Republic of Korea, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, China, Chinese Taipei, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

This measure applied to imports taking place as of 5 February 2009.
