Import tariff

On 4 February 2009, the Federal Administration for Public Revenue of Argentina (i.e. AFIP by its Spanish acronym) adopted External Notice 2/2009 increasing the reference prices set on imports of bags and backpacks classified under tariffs subheadings NCM 4202.92.00 and 4202.99.00. 

The new reference prices were increased from a FOB value ranging between USD 2.12 and USD 6.00 per kilogramme to a FOB value ranging between USD 6.00 and USD 7.00 per kilogramme. 

This External Notice affects the following jurisdictions: the Republic of Korea, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, China, Chinese Taipei, Philippines, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

This measure applied to imports taking place as of 5 February 2009.
