State loan

The loan agreement between the European Investment Bank (EIB) and GAS DISTRIBUTION COMPANY REST OF GREECE S.A. was signed on 1 March 2018 and has a total value of EUR 48 million (approx. USD 58.7 million).

The loan will support the company's project to develop gas distribution networks in central Greece, east and central Macedonia as well as in Thrace a geographical area located in Turkey, Bulgaria and Greece.

The GAS DISTRIBUTION COMPANY REST OF GREECE S.A. is a natural gas transmission and distribution company selling gas on the Greek market. The company has its headquarters in Greece and is owned by HRADF and Hellenic Petroleum.

A state act in the GTA database is assessed solely in terms of the extent to which its implementation affects foreign commercial interests. On this metric, the investment support granted here is discriminatory.
