Import tariff

On 18 August 2017, the Eurasian Economic Commission announced a temporary waiver of import duties on certain types of bicycle components. Most of the waived duties normally constitute a 5% ad valorem, but there is also a waiver of a 10% (inner tubes) and a 15% (roller chains) duty. In force starting 18 September 2017, all but one expire on 1 September 2018. The duty on hub components expires on 1 September 2020.

On 25 December 2018, the EEU extended the waiver, to cover the imports from 1 September 2018 to 1 September 2020, for the components whose waiver was to expire.
