In January 2009, the government of Indonesia extended a safeguard duty following the conclusion of a sunset review. The duty was terminated in January 2012.

Safeguard

On 4 January 2009, the Indonesian authorities extended the definitive safeguard duty imposed on imports of porcelain and non-porcelain ceramic tableware for a period of three years. The products subject to duties are classified under the following HS code subheadings  6911.10, 6911.90 and 6912.00. The decision follows a sunset review initiated on 5 June 2008. Certain developing countries are excluded from the measure. The original measure was imposed in January 2006.

The duty expired on 4 January 2012.
