Export tax

On 20 November 2013, the Federal Public Revenue Administration adopted General Resolution 3539/2013 establishing temporary criterion values on exports of prawns classified under tariff subheading 0306.17.10.

The established criterion values correspond to a FOB value ranging between USD 4.00 and USD 8.00 per kilogram depending on the packaging. Previously to this Resolution, no export criterion value applied.

This measure affects the following countries: Angola, Algeria, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Libia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Morocco, Mauritius, Mauritania, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Russia, Ukraine, Korea, China, Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

The provisions of General Resolution 3539/2013 entered into force on 22 November 2013 and they apply retroactively for the period ranging between 1 June 2013 and 31 December 2013.
