Labour market access

As of 1 January 2012 the decree for the change and the abolishment of the labour law regulations affecting Bulgarians and Romanians in Germany is entering into force. The implementation of this decree eleminates the work permit duty for skilled workforces holding a university degree, apprentices and seasonal workforces before the offical implementation of the unlimited free movement of workers within the European Union in 2014.

  • Affected sectors: agriculture, forestry, hotel and restaurant industry, fruit and vegetable processing, saw mills
