Export subsidy

On 2 June 2018, the Thai Office of Agricultural Economics announced the acceleration of crude palm exports to deal with the domestic surplus and stabilise prices.

Palm oil exporters will receive a transport-cost subsidy at THB 1.75 (USD 0.05) per kilogramme.

A total of 300,000 tons of palm oil will be exported over a five-month period from October 2018.
