In a decision published in the September 26, 2018 edition of Customs Bulletin and Decisions, U.S. Customs and Border Protection proposed that some refillable plastic containers that open by snapping in half at the middle be reclassified from HTSUS 3924.90.55/56 or 3924.10.40 (3.4% duty) to 3926.40.00 (5.3%). The change will be effective with respect to goods entered or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption on or after November 26, 2018.
