Export tax

On 18 November 2011, the Ministry of Commerce & Industry reduced the Minimum Export Price (MEP) on all onions except Bangalore rose and Krishnapuram onions from USD 475 per metric ton to USD 350 per metric ton and on Bangalore rose and Krishnapuram onions from USD 475 to USD 400 per metric ton.

The MEP was reduced again on 28 November 2011 (see related measure).
