Import licensing requirement

On 20 May 2010, Vietnam through Circular No. 22/2010/TT-BCT introduced import licensing requirement on steel imports under HS 7209, 7211 and 7213. The measure was applicable from 5 July 2010 until 31 December 2010.
 
On 27 July 2010, "metal-plated corrugated iron and colour covering plated corrugated iron" was added to the list of products requiring such licenses.
 
On 28 December 2010, through Circular No. 42/2011/TT-BCT the measure was extended until 31 December 2011.
