FDI: Entry and ownership rule

On 14 July 2014, the Mexican Government adopted a Decree reforming the Telecommunications and Radio Law. The new legislation increases from 49% to 100% and from 0% to 49% the limits set for maximum foreign participation permitted in telecommunications and broadcasting companies respectively. 

This Decree entered into force 30 days after its publication on the Official Gazette.
