Import tariff

On 19 June 2018, the Colombian Minister of Agricultura and Rural Development, Juan Zuluaga, announced that the import duty set on certain agricultural supplies like fertilizers and pesticides would be eliminated for a two-year period.

According to the WTO import tariff database, previously applicable tariffs range between 0.6% and 5%.

During the announcement, the Minister stated that products affected by this measure include ammonium sulfate; double salts and mixtures of calcium nitrate and ammonium nitrate with each other; mixtures of urea with ammonium nitrate; mineral fertilizers; and insecticides, among others.
