State loan

The credit line agreement between the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Commerzbank AG was signed on 12 December 2017 and has a total value of EUR 250 million (approx. USD 293 million).

More specifically the credit line will through Commerzbank AG finance various project carried out by German SMEs and mid-cap companies. The EIB notes that: "possible sectors may be manufacturing, transport, wholesale and retail trade. A minimum of 70% of the loan will be used to finance SMEs." Commerzbank AG has its headquarter in Germany.
