On March 28, 2013, a 199 billion yen ($211.7 million USD) loan agreement was signed with the Indian Government and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor(DMIC) and the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor (CBIC) as well as India's West Bengal State Water Supply Development Project. This loan will be part of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency's STEP program which implies that the loan will go towards providing Japanese consulting services, subway technologies, railway technologies, and other Japanese technologies. 

Special Terms for Economic Partnership (STEP)
A stipulation in JICA ODA loan agreements is the utilization of advanced Japanese technologies and the employment of Japanese firms in overseas projects.
