The Argentine Government eliminated the export tax on organic products and in several other tariff lines, as well as increased the export duty on certain soy-based products.

Export tax

On 17 February 2016, the Argentine Government adopter Decree 361/2016 eliminating the export duties on all agricultural products that count with a certificate of ecologic production as well as in all tariff lines from chapters 50 to 53.

The changes introduced affected tariffs subheadings 5101.11.10, 5101.11.90 and 5101.19.00 where export duties have been decreased from 5% to 0%, as well as subheading 1517.90.10 that has been reduced from 27% to 15%.

In addition, the export tariffs on NCM 1201.00.90, 1208.10.00, 1507.10.00 and 2304.00 can also experience a tariff reduction form values ranging between 27% and 30% as long as they come from ecologic production.

Export tax

Decree 361/2016 adopted by the Argentine Government on 17 February 2016 also increased the export duties on tariff subheadings  1518.00.90, 2309.90.10 and 2309.90.90. The new export tariffs have increased from 0% to 15%, 20% and 27% respectively.
