Import licensing requirement

On 31 August 2018, the Secretariat of Trade of the Argentine Ministry of Production adopted Resolution 507/2018 modifying the list of products with non-automatic import licenses. The new amendments led to the imposition of temporary non-automatic import licenses in two new tariff subheadings (NCM 2207.10.10 and 2207.10.90).

The new requirement will in force until 30 April 2019. In this sense, goods under the previously mentioned tariffs subheadings that had already been shipped with final destination Argentina and goods already waiting for its clearance in the customs area at the time this measure was adopted, will be exempted from the non-automatic import license for a period of 60 days.

This Resolution entered into force on 1 September 2018.
