In June 2018, the Chilean authorities initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of steel grinding balls from China. In January 2019, a provisional duty was imposed. In May 2019, a definitive duty was imposed.

Anti-dumping

The antidumping investigation on imports of steel grinding balls from China was initiated on 8 June 2018. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheading: 7326.1110.

On 19 January 2019, the Chilean authorities imposed a provisional antidumping duty on the subject good from China. The rate of duty is 9% and is in force for a period not exceeding six months.

On 23 May 2019, the Chilean authorities imposed a definitive duty on imports of steel grinding balls from China. The rate of duty is 5.6%. The duty is in force for a period of one year.
