The Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture announced in a press release its strategy to increase corn production by 40.5% until 2025. To achieve this goal, it shall distribute 40% of the total demand for hybrid corn seeds. The Ministry also stated that the seeds will be in particular distributed to farmers using "seeds with lower productivity".

The GTA includes state guarantees and other financial incentives that are likely to affect the restructuring and performance of firms facing international competition, whether from imports, in export markets, and from foreign subsidiaries.
