FDI: Entry and ownership rule

On May 2nd, 2017, in its first ever edict, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) announced it was introducing restrictions on online news and 'information' providing services.

As well as various content management (i.e. censorship) requirements, the edict explicitly forbids and Sino-foreign joint ventures from operating a business such as this in the PRC.
