Import licensing requirement

In May 2018, the Chinese General Administration of Customs announced it had abolished the requirement for shipments of certain organic goods to apply for entry permits before importing.

After the change, such goods only need to be declared to the customs authorities in the normal fashion upon import.

Goods included items such as seeds, flours, bio-oils and animal hair.
