Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin signed a ruling (the Government Decree # 492-pfrom 24 March 2011) to introduce state subsidies to state company Rosatom of 500 million rubles (12.9 billion euros) per year in 2011, 2012, 2013in the form of property contribution to Rosatom to purchase the shares of the company 'Technopark-technologia'.

Rosatom conducts research and development in nuclear industry. It also produces some equipment in the industry. For example, carbon fibre-based polymeric composite materials are one of ROSATOM's activities. Carbon fibre is an organic material which contains 92-99.99% of carbon. Such materials are critical for the use in any load-bearing structures when it is necessary to enhance strength and reduce weight.
