State loan

On 28 May 2018, the Argentine Ministry of Treasury announced that the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, a filial of the World Bank, had approved a USD 150 million credit line aimed at small agricultural producers to cope with increased climate change risks such as droughts and floods. This credit line is expected to benefit 20,000 SMEs.

The loan has 32 years term, with a 7.5 years grace period.

In addition to the loan provided by the International Bank for reconstruction and development, the Ministry of Treasury of Argentina announced that the resources of the "Comprehensive Risk Management Project in the Rural Agroindustrial System" would be complemented by a contribution from the National Government of USD 37.5 million.
