The Brazilian Central Bank announced changes to the credit lines enclosed in the Fund for the Defense of the Coffee Economy ("Funcafé").

State loan

On 7 January 2013, the Brazilian Central Bank issued Resolution 4180 changed the resources allocated to funding enclosed on the Coffee Economy Defense Fund. The new budget was increased from BRL 550 million (USD 271 million) to BRL 730 million (USD 360 million).

These resources were available until 31 July 2013.

State loan

Resolution 4180 issued by the Brazilian Central Bank on 7 January 2013 also decreased from BRL 50 million (circa USD 25 million) to BRL 10 million (USD 5 million) the resources allocated to financing options contracts and operations.

These resources were available until 28 February 2013.
