Congress approved the Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) program under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA, Public Law 111-5). Section 1605 of the ARRA specified that grants under this program are subject to Buy America rules. Among the most recent TIGER grants is $10 million for the Indiana Department of Transportation.

The HS codes monitored by the OECD Steel Committee are used to approximate the iron and steel products procured for this project.
