In December 2008, the German Export Crediting Agency announced its support of an export project concerning deliveries and services linked to the construction of a 750 MW gas and steam power station Ca Mau 2 in Vietnam.

Trade finance

The export loan was announced in December 2008 and finances deliveries and services linked to the construction of a 750 MW gas and steam power station Ca Mau 2 ('Lieferungen und Leistungen im Rahmen der Errichtung des 750 MW Gas-und Dampfkraftwerkes Ca Mau 2') in Vietnam. The benefitting German exporter is Siemens AG.

The German Eximbank only publishes value ranges for the projects it finances. The present project is in category 5. This category includes projects with a financing value of over 200 million EUR. The GTA assumes the lower bound amount of the respective category, in this case 201 million EUR (281 million USD), as the conservative estimate of the project value.

The maturity of the loan will be 8 years. The financing institution is a consortium: led by KfW, Frankfurt with Caylon, Paris and Fortis Bank, Paris.
