Import licensing requirement

On 15 January 2019, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry through Notification No. 55/2015-2020 removed the requirement to obtain a Non-Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Narcotics Commissioner before the import of Nicotinic Acid and Nicotinamide (Niacinamide/Niacin). An NOC is simply an approval provided by the Commissioner for the imports of the specified quantities of goods.
