In October 2011, the government of India initiated a new anti-dumping investigation and definitive duties were imposed in December 2012. The duty was terminated in December 2017.

On 25 October 2011, the Indian authorities announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation concerning imports of choline chloride originating in China. The complaint was lodged by M/s Jubilant Life Sciences Ltd.
The concerned HS codes are 2309.9010 and 2923.1000.
On 21 December 2012, the country decided to impose definitive anti-dumping duties on the subject product.
On 20 December 2017, the definitive duty was terminated as no sunset review was initiated and the duty, therefore, expired.
