Export-related non-tariff measure, nes

On 21 March 2018, the Indian Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSO) removed the requirement to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the CDSO for shipping bills of export consignments of drugs, medical devices or cosmetics to any country.

The exemption is available provided such shipping bills are filed by the manufacturer itself and the manufacturer has a valid license under the Drugs and Cosmetics Acts and Rules. Earlier, this NOC exemption was available for export consignments to USA, Canada, Japan, Australia and the EU only.
