Production subsidy

On the 20 June 2017, China's Ministry of Agriculture published the 'Implementation plan for using grain as feed'.

The plan calls for local authorities to sink funds into subsidy programmes to encourage local farmers to produce grains for animal feed.

This includes subsidies for the planting of appropriate crops, but also equipment associated with this process, e.g. storage and processing of animal feed grains.

The goal of the plan is to improve the efficiency of the livestock industry in China in order to make the nation fully self-sufficient for silage by 2020.
