On 26 August 2016, the Directorate General of Customs Valuation has through Valuation Ruling 917/2016 increased the customs values of soft and hard swan wood as follows (all valuations are in USD per metric cube)- 

  • Softwood logs from Europe and North America from USD 130 to USD 135
  • Soft/White/Red Wood Rough/Swan/S4S Timber from Australia/Russia/Europe from USD 185 to USD 190, from USA from USD 195 to USD 200, from Canada from USD 215  to USD 220, and other countries from USD 225 to USD 230
  • African Swan Timber from African countries from USD 325 to USD 355
  • Myanmar Teek Logs from Myanmar from USD 1050 to USD 1200
  • Myanmar Hardwood/Gurjan Logs from Myanmar from USD 325 to USD 355
  • Hard Wood logs from African countries from USD 275 to USD 305
  • Medium Light hardwood logs from South East Asia from USD 380 to USD 435 
  • Red Meranti Swan TImber wood from South East Asia from USD 380 to USD 410
  • Yellow Meranti Swan TImber wood from South East Asia from USD 335 to USD 360 
  • Beech Wood Swan timber from Europe/North America from USD 350 to USD 370
  • Ash Wood Sawn Timber and other Hardwood species from Europe/North America from USD 400 to USD 470

The valuation has been later amended on 7 March 2018.
