Import tariff

On 7 March 2018, the Directorate General of Customs Valuation has through Valuation Ruling 1267/2018 increased the customs values of soft and hard swan wood as follows (all valuations are in USD per metric cube)- 

  • Softwood logs from Europe and North America from USD 135 to USD 140
  • Soft/White/Red Wood Rough/Swan/S4S Timber from Australia/Russia/Europe from USD 190 to USD 200, from USA from USD 200 to USD 210, from Canada from USD 220  to USD 230, and other countries from USD 230 to USD 240
  • African Swan Timber from African countries from USD 355 to USD 375
  • Myanmar Teek Logs from Myanmar from USD 1200 to USD 1250
  • Myanmar Hardwood/Gurjan Logs from Myanmar from USD 355 to USD 375
  • Hard Wood logs from African countries from USD 305 to USD 305 (unchanged)
  • Medium Light hardwood logs from South East Asia from USD 435 to USD 435 (unchanged)
  • Red Meranti Swan TImber wood from South East Asia from USD 410 to USD 410 (unchanged)
  • Yellow Meranti Swan TImber wood from South East Asia from USD 360 to USD 360 (unchanged)
  • Beech Wood Swan timber from Europe/North America from USD 370 to USD 385
  • Ash Wood Sawn Timber and other Hardwood species from Europe/North America from USD 470 to USD 495
