On 29 December 2017, Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade through Circular 35/2017/TT-BCT removed the requirement for foreign construction contractors to register the details of materials, machinery and equipment imported or temporarily imported for re-exports. This requirement for registration was laid earlier by Circular 53/2015/TT-BCT on 30 December 2015.

The new regulation is valid from 12 February 2018.
