Import tariff

On 9 December 2011, the Chinese authorities Ministry of Finance (MOF), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the General Administration of Customs (GAC), the General Administration of Taxation (GAT) jointly issued the Notice on Import Taxation on Articles Used for Scientific and Technological Development imported by National Public Service Platform for SMEs (the Notice), announcing the exemption of import taxation on articles used for scientific and technological development imported by national public service platform for SMEs.
 
In accordance with this Notice, these favorable treatments shall be applicable to platforms which meet the following requirements: (a) within the scope of National Public Service Platform for SMEs certified by the MIIT, falls in scope of technologies, inspection and industrial engineering; (b) total assets shall be not lower than 10 million RMB (USD 1600 thousands); (c) accumulated purchasing volume shall be not lower 3 million RMB (USD 45 thousand); (d) good service performance and licenses, clients number shall be no less than 150 with satisfaction rate no less than 90%.
