On December 13, 2017, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Chamber adopted Resolution 93/2017 including new products in the list of automotive parts subject to reduced import tariffs.

One of the changes introduced on December 13, 2017, by the Brazilian Foreign Trade Chamber with regards to the list of automotive parts subject to reduced import tariffs was the introduction of two new products in the list: crankshaft pulley, applied to spark ignition internal combustion engine (NCM 8483.50.10) and potentiometric accelerator pedals with identification of the drive position (NCM 8708.99.90). The new applicable import duty on these products was reduced from 16% and 18% to 2% respectively.
On 17 December 2018, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Council has adopted Resolution 102 revoking this Resolution as of 1 January 2019 (please, see related state acts).
Also included in Resolution 93 issued by the Brazilian Foreign Trade Chamber on December 13, 2017, is the establishment of reduced import duty for a certain quota of diesel cycle engine management units and engine cooling systems through sensors (NCM 9032.89.29) and semiautomatic transmission boxes for agricultural tractors (NCM 8708.40.19).

The applicable import duty outside the quota is 16% and 14% respectively.
