In February 2018, the Indian Directorate General of Antidumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of certain textured tempered glass from Malaysia. A definitive duty was imposed in February 2019.

Anti-dumping

The antidumping investigation on imports of certain textured tempered glass from Malaysia was initiated on 5 February 2018. The products subject to investigation are classified under HS code 7007.19.00. The investigation follows the application lodged by Gujarat Borosil Limited.

On 26 February 2019, the Indian authorities imposed a definitive antidumping duty on imports of the subject good from Malaysia falling HS code subheadings 7007.19.00 and 7007.21.90. The rate of duty is USD 114.58 per tonne. The duty is in force for a period of five years.
