In the case of onions, the duty-free quota has been set at 100,000 tonnes to be assigned on a first come, first served basis. The allocation will be made based on the following criteria choosing always the one that gives a lower outcome: demanded quantity; commercial invoice; or the balance of quota. The maximum volume to be assigned per beneficiary is 10,000 tonnes. The applicable import tariff outside the quota is 10%.

As for lemons,  the duty-free quota has been set at 140,000 tonnes also to be assigned on a first come, first served basis. The allocation will be made based on the following criteria choosing always the one that gives a lower outcome: demanded quantity; commercial invoice; or the balance of quota. In this case, the maximum quantity assigned per importer will never be greater than 14,000 tonnes. The applicable import tariff outside the quota is 20%.
