In January 2018, the Indian Directorate General of Antidumping & Allied Duties, Ministry of Commerce and Industry initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of meta-phenylene diamine-4-sulphonic acid (MPDSA) from China. The investigation was terminated in May 2018 without the imposition of duties.

The antidumping investigation on imports of meta-phenylene diamine-4-sulphonic acid (MPDSA) from China was initiated on 24 January 2018. The products subject to investigation are classified under HS code 2922.29.26. The investigation follows the application lodged by Chamunda Industries, Matrushakti Industries and Varahi Intermediates.

On 16 May 2018, the Indian authorities terminated the antidumping investigation on imports of the subject good from China without the imposition of duties. This follows a letter submitted on 7 May 2018 by the domestic industry withdrawing their above application and requesting for termination of the investigation.
