Import tariff

On 27 January 2013, the European Union temporarily suspended the additional import duty regime on sugar originally imposed by Resolution No. 951/2006, article 36 until 30 September 2015. As such, the fixed representative price calculated to determine the additional duty level is not calculated until said date.

The resolution additionally repeals Regulation (EU) No 892/2012, which was the last fixed representative price which was used to calculate the additional duty level and was fixed until the entry into force of this resolution, see related state act.

On 2 August 2017, the temporary suspension of the additional import duty regime on sugar was extended to 30 September 2022.
