In December 2017, the European Commission initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of silicon from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Brazil. The investigation was terminated without the imposition of duties in August 2018.

Anti-dumping

The antidumping investigation on imports of silicon from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Brazil was initiated on 19 December 2017. The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheading: 2804.69.00. This investigation follows the application lodged on 8 November 2017 by Ferroatlántica and Ferropem.

On 22 August 2018, the European Commission terminated the antidumping investigation on imports of silicon from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Brazil without the imposition of duties. The termination follows the withdrawal of the application lodged on 8 November 2017 by Ferroatlántica and Ferropem.
