Import tariff

On 14 December 2017, the Ministry of Finance has through Notifications No. 91/2017-Customs and 92/2017-Customs increased the import tariff on the following products - 

  • On telephones for cellular or wireless networks from 10% to 15%
  • On television sets from 10% to 20%
  • On microwave ovens from 10% to 20%
  • On petroleum coke from 2.5% to 10%
  • On digital and network video recorder from 10% to 15%
  • On Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) camera and Internet Protocol (IP) camera from 10% to 15%
  • On LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), LED (Light Emitting Diode) or OLED (Organic LED) panels for manufacture of Television from Nil to 7.5%
  • On smart electric meters from 10% to 15%
  • On all types of LED lamps and light fittings from 10% to 20%
