On December 5, 2011, the Government of Argentina adopted reference prices applicable to the importation of certain types of ceramic tableware and kitchenware from Brazil, China, Colombia, Indonesia, and other Asian, European, and Latin-American countries. The product subject to this measure is classified under the following tariff line of MERCOSUR's Harmonized System: 3924.10.00.
These reference prices entered into force on December 7, 2011.
Argentina introduced reference values of precautionary nature forimported goods in June 2005 (in Spanish: valorescriteriodecarácterpreventivo). Thestatedpurpose is tostrengthencustomscontrolandpreventunder-invoicing.
