Labour market access

On 15 April 2011, the French Minister of the Interior Guéant publicly stated his intention to reduce the number of legal immigrants.
 
In a televised statement, Mr Guéant said he aims to bring down legal immigration from non-EU/EFTA countries by 20'000 to a target of 180'000 immigrants per year.
