In November 2017, the Peruvian authorities initiated an antidumping investigation on imports of certain steel bars from Brazil and Mexico. The investigation was terminated without the imposition of duties in May 2019.

Anti-dumping

The antidumping investigation on imports of certain steel bars from Brazil and Mexico was initiated on 2 November 2017 (Resolution No. 209-2017 / CDB-INDECOPI) The products subject to investigation are classified under the following HS code subheadings: 7213.10.00.00, 7213.20.00.00, 7213.99.00.00, 7214.99.10.00, 7214.20.00.00, 7214.99.90.00, 7217.10.00.00 and 7228.30.00.00. This investigation follows the application lodged on 27 June 2017 by Corporación Aceros Arequipa SA.

On 30 November 2018, the Peruvian authorities terminated the antidumping investigation without the imposition of duties.
