Import tariff

On 17 November 2017, the import tariff on prefabricated steel buildings of iron or steel was introduced. The products subject to tariffs fall under the following HS code subheading: 9406.90.10. The rate of duty is increased from 0% to 20%. The announcement excludes imports from members of the EU, EFTA, MERCOSUR and SADC. The tariff is reviewed after a period of three years. A rebate on greenhouses of iron or non-alloy steel was introduced on the same day, see related state act.
