October 30th, 2017 - China's Ministry of Commerce published some export quotas for 2018, with reductions in quotas for liquorice (6.2m to 3m tonnes) and live chickens (6.4m to 3m heads).

Export quota

On the 30 October 2017, China's Ministry of Commerce announced several export quotas for agricultural and industrial products for 2018. The changes were as follows (compared to 2017):

  • Live chickens: 6,400,000 to 3,000,000 heads;
  • Liquorice: 6,200,0000 to 5,200,000 tonnes.
