The Government of Brazil eliminated temporarily the import duties on multiple IT products and capital goods.

On August 16, 2017, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Chamber (Camex) issued Resolution No. 64 decreasing the temporary import duty from 2% to 0% on tariff lines affected by several previous resolutions issued by this institution. This new import duty applies until 31 December 2017, 30 June 2018, 31 December 2018 and 30 June 2019, depending on the product.

On 5 June 2018, the Camex issued Resolution 37 revoking the temporary import duty decrease set on tariff line 8543.70.99 (please, see related estate acts).
